Suffering from Persecution

October 12, 2008 | Series: 1 Thessalonians. Scripture: 1 Thessalonians. Speakers: Jason Donaldson.

1 Thessalonians 2:13-20
Paul’s letter turns to a discussion of the subject of the persecutions suffered both by him and his companions and by the believers in Thessalonica, a section that holds relevance to all believers today, whether openly persecuted or subject to more subtle pressures. This text addresses the ultimate source of opposition to the gospel, and carries both encouragement for those who have entrusted themselves to Christ and a stern warning for those who have not.
