Do Not Lose Your Anointing

1 Kings 19:1-16
God used Elijah to encourage the people of Israel to come back to God. He then demonstrated His awesome power through Elijah through many miracles, but Elijah allowed fear to rule over him. This resulted in Elijah losing his position and anointing as the prophet of God. How do we properly use our strengths for God’s service and how do we keep from losing that position as Elijah did? Falling to fear in lack of faith is a bad starting point that can lead down a losing path. Have faith! Take courage!

Abraham’s faith temporarily faltered when he left the promised land to go down to Egypt, demonstrating that spiritual famine is predictable, that faltering in faith is possible, but the faithfulness of God is promised, as he rebukes and restores us to a right relationship of trust and obedience.
